But can they find a safe haven on land or sea after Calico Jack Rackham’s betrayal and the governor’s promise to hunt down and execute Anne? The second volume of A MAN AMONG YE hits the high seas thanks to writer STEPHANIE PHILLIPS (Harley Quinn) and artist JOSH GEORGE (2000AD Future Shock, Grimm Tales of Terror).

INGRID: Back for another arc, A Man Among Ye is a pirate tale from near the end of the age of piracy. Anne Bonny is a fascinating character to begin with, and now she has accumulated a small crew of women. Among them, they have a huge variety of motivations, strengths, and weaknesses which makes for a great and exciting read.

Writer: David M. Booher
Artist: Drew Zucker
Publisher: IDW Publishing

SOLICITATION: Fan-favorite CANTO continues! The tiny clockwork knight in search of a heart has found his people’s freedom and has saved them from the curse of the Shrouded Man, but is he ready to face his enemy on the battlefield? After making the ultimate sacrifice, Canto bears a weapon that could defeat the Shrouded Man and free all the inhabitants of the Unnamed World. Now, he races to find a hidden settlement of his former slavers to enlist them as allies in the coming war. That is… if the Shrouded Man doesn’t find them first…

This July, join the latest adventure in the Canto-verse that Major Spoilers called “a quest story to savor.”

CHRISTOPHER: This is a favorite series of mine, and I am looking to see if Canto can finally defeat the Shrouded Man!

SOLICITATION: Once upon a time, there was a golden child. He’s been gone a long time now. What happened to him? Let’s find out.

CHRISTOPHER: The end is nigh, and I am excited to see how it concludes!

MATTHEW: The end is near, and I couldn’t be happier… Sort of. It’s gonna be rough on the players.

Now where have we seen this guy before? The worlds of HAHA and ICE CREAM MAN reveal themselves as one and the same in this story about the last days of Happy Hank (previously seen in ICE CREAM MAN #8). Featuring artwork, of course, by the ICE CREAM MAN creative team of MART N MORAZZO and CHRIS O’HALLORAN.

MATTHEW: We knew Prince could do spine-chilling, skin-crawling existential horror, but this series has shown a softer (but no less dark) side. If you’ve been sleeping on HAHA, you’re missing out.

Writer: Henry Barajas and Claire Napier
Artist: Rahmat Handoko and Bryan Valenza
Publisher: Image Comics
Cover Price: $4.99
SOLICITATION: Montezuma III and the MEXICA Gods have assembled their army. Will Helm and Camazotz be enough to stop the war – and rescue the last dragon prince before it’s too late?

BONUS: This issue includes a Latinx action-adventure RPG (5E Compatible) one-shot by TRISTAN J. TARWATER (Rolled & Told)!

CHRISTOPHER: I love fantasy based in other cultures. The creative team’s take on Mexica gods has given an exciting element on these heroes.

Writer: Ryan Parrott
Artist: Marco Renna
Publisher: BOOM! Studios
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: Will the Power Rangers make the right choice and save Angel Grove? The battle of Angel Grove continues as the team grapples with a seemingly no-win scenario. Will they be able to defeat Lord Zedd and his surprising new ally, or will their home fall into chaos for good?

MATTHEW: This arc of Power Rangers has been a lot deeper and more morally graduated than the TV show, and I’m excited to see how it all shakes out. Plus, the new Green Ranger’s identity should cause tons of conflict as things progress…

Writer: Christofer Emgård
Artist: Tomás Aira
Publisher: Dark Horse Comics
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: The war is over, Katherine is dead, and Ben is trying to move on. But then the Navy receives a message from her. At a base in Antarctica, the Third Reich is plotting its return, powered by strange and foreboding technology. Katherine is there, and Ben is coming to get her.

INGRID: This is a horror thriller about an American spy embedded with the Nazis in a secret base in Antarctica shortly after WW2. Imagine the tension of accumulating information about their strange technology and having literally nowhere to go if you get discovered. As nerve-wracking as it is, I am looking forward to it.
