As a fan of Doctor Who, I’ve always been a little bit confused at fellow fans who are still angry that Christopher Eccleston chose not to return for the 50th Anniversary special. I mean, he did the role for one season and wasn’t a particular fan of the show before or after. Of course, an absentee actor is nothing new in the world of ‘Who’, as the Sixth Doctor’s regeneration occurred without Colin Baker (who, understandably, didn’t wish to return after being sacked.) It’s not just Doctor Who that has the issue, though, as Agent Fox Mulder mostly disappeared for the final two seasons of X-Files back in the day, and I recall some irritation from fans of the show on the nascent intarwebs, leading to today’s MIA query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) wouldn’t like it if someone were to presume to tell me I had to go back to *MY* old job, especially if I left on less-than-positive terms, asking: Which absentee actor did you most miss in what should have been their return?

I wish Claudia Christian had returned for the final season of Babylon 5. Especially since it was never super clear why she left the show.
I wish Bruce Lee could have been in all of Game of Death.
