Back in the day, when I first shipped off to the wilds of Hays, Kansas for college, I was thrilled to find a copy of Street Fighter II in the Student Union, right by the elevators. While my cohorts tried to master Guile (whom they called “Gwee-lee”) and Ryu (whom no one could ever pronounce at all), I spent my time trying to figure out Chun-Li’s helicopter kick. The same was true of ‘Mortal Kombat’ when it arrived, where I fought with Raiden as all my friends tried to master primary color ninjers, leading to today’s fatality query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) wants to make it clear that we’re not limiting ourselves to the Mortal Kombat games, ’cause Christie Monteiro rules, asking: Which world warrior was YOUR kombatant of choice?

I usually played Balrog (boxer) in SF, Paul Phoenix in Tekken and whatever in Mortal kombat.
I was a fan of Kung Lao with MKII but as soon as Jade became a playable character I was all about her (I like the color green).
Sophitia from the SoulCalibur series. She was the only fighting game character I ever developed any reasonable amount of skill with.
