Action Lab announces new Lovecraft & Tesla series

Robot OverlordBy Robot OverlordJune 19, 20192 Mins Read

Action Lab Entertainment has announced that John Reilly is back with his fourth installment of the Herald: Lovecraft & Tesla series, this one titled, Bundles of Joy.

In this volume, when Amelia Earhart disappears over the Atlantic, her fiance Nikola Tesla teams up with HP Lovecraft to find the Necronomicon and prevent the cult of Cthulhu from ending the world. John Reilly adds that “HERALD’S details, cast, and myriad storylines reward repeat reading across a narrative in which everything matters.” He goes on to say, “I want readers to get excited for a history adventure and the possibilities of America’s spurious mythology” and “Surviving your adulthood is like surviving a horror story. HERALD is that story.”

Joining Reilly is illustrator Tom Rogers, who said, “Illustrating BUNDLES OF JOY was a, uh, bundle of joy! Receiving the script for a new issue of Herald is always exciting. While John has shared the broader series outline with me, it’s still a wild ride to see how the individual events play out and watch the characters evolve along the way.

“Since I love the story so much, my goal then as an artist is to make sure the art can live up to the quality of the script. There were lots of exciting scenes in this story arc and (I very humbly think) some of the coolest pages I’ve ever drawn. Also, I couldn’t pull it off nearly as well without Dexter Weeks’s spectacular colors which really complement my drawings and the tone of the story astoundingly well.”

Herald: Lovecraft & Tesla – Bundles of Joy #1 is set to arrive on August 7, 2019.
