Thanks to having a vegetarian child, I’ m slowly becoming aware of the sheer number of vegetables that never made it to my midwestern household as a kid. Did you guys know there’s something called quinoa? It’s actually pretty okay, especially when ya throw in some mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes, and I’m super happy to have avocado as a regular part of my diet. Still, growing up in the 70s in Kansas, your choices of vegetables were pretty much carrots and peas, with the occasional choice of broccoli or cauliflower, leading to today’s meatless query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) would probably have soaked whichever in a sea of Velveeta cheese sauce, asking: You MUST choose one or the other: Broccoli or Cauliflower?

Steamed broccoli with Fish Sauce and a little red pepper (like Sambal Oelek). YUM!
(give in to fish suace… it’s the bomb)
Baby trees all the way
Both are fine.
Both with carrots make for an awesome combination.
Broccoli is the only choice. Cauliflower is an affront to god and tastebuds
