Great podcast!
But, you don’t think Element Lad is powerful?! Are you kidding? He could potentially defeat any other Legionnaire. He could create kryptonite out of thin air, he could create manganesium (of whatever it is) intertron around any of the other Legionnaires, and he’s already taken out Mon-el.
Yes, Karate Kid defeating Ultra Boy was sort of ridiculous, and showed Shooter’s partiality, and it happening off panel made it even worse.
Also, I don’t think this was the first time that we see that Shadow Lass has feelings for Mon-el. I believe that happened in Adventure Comics #369, after she gave up on Brainiac 5.
