DC Comics has announced it is bringing new DC Super Hero Girls our way in October from comics writer Amy Wolfram.
Wolfram is known for her work on the Teen Titans, GO! animated series.
“I’m very excited to be working on DC Super Hero Girls,” stated Wolfram. “Not only do we get to see these iconic superheroes in action as they protect Metropolis, we also get to peek behind the masks and capes to see their secret identities as they deal with an even greater challenge–being a teenager in high school!”
The first book in the series will be DC Super Hero Girls: At Metropolis High, and will feature Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Green Lantern, Bumblebee and Zatanna as they try to balance their superhero lives with the school’s extracurricular activities.
DC SUPER HERO GIRLS: AT METROPOLIS HIGH
A new era of DC Super Hero Girls begins in the upcoming original graphic novel DC SUPER HERO GIRLS: AT METROPOLIS HIGH! When Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Green Lantern, Bumblebee and Zatanna are continually late to class because of their crime-fighting, they are told to find an after-school club for a whole week or else be suspended. But finding a club is not as easy as it looks, and when the girls keep finding themselves kicked out of the clubs, they must think outside of the box and go out of their comfort zones to avoid suspension. Just when they thought balancing school with secret identities and super-heroing had enough challenges.
DC Super Hero Girls: At Metropolis High arrives on October 9, 2019, with a cover price of $9.99.
