The CW teases more time travel in The Flash season 5 – XS! FREAKIN’ XS!

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherJuly 22, 20184 Comments1 Min Read

During The Flash presentation at the San Diego Comic Con, The CW showed off a sizzle reel for season 5, and it looks like there will be a lot more time travel ahead.

    THE FLASH Comic-Con® 2018 Trailer #WBSDCC

THE FLASH cast and executive producers offered an exciting first look at the upcoming fifth season when they debuted an exclusive trailer for the Comic-Con c…

The reel gave fans their first look at Barry and Iris adjusting to parenthood, as well as a sneak peek at this season’s new big bad, Cicada. And if last year’s ring wasn’t enough, the reel delivered on an iconic, suit-bearing ring fans can expect to see more of this fall.

XS! FREAKING XS! SUIT IN A RING! Now, if this means we get to see the Legion of Super-Heroes, then I’m all in!

    XS

Who is XS? Well, she isn’t one of the Tornado Twins, but she is a big part of the Flash universe. You can read more about her in the Major Spoilers Hero History, or wait a few more years, and we’ll talk about her on the Legion Clubhouse podcast. (Or you might want to check out our Flashback Podcast where we talk about this show in depth.)

If we do see the legion hopefully it will be a different version from Supergirl.
I could live with Mon-el and brainy but Saturn Girl as a brunette with telekinesis was a bit much.

The cool thing is XS is definitely a reboot character, while Mon-El and Saturn Girl on Supergirl are Silver Age Legion members… and since this is the multiverse, why not have both? :)

Exciting to see the LSH slowly creeping into all of these shows… building up to something? I hope so.

The Legion of Superheroes is so huge . . . it would be cool if there was the same team with completely different on each world. Plus it kind of makes sense. So far as we know, there’s not a Green Arrow or Flash on Supergirl’s Earth, so why would the Legion be the same?
