Major Spoilers Poll of the Week: Babysitter Edition

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherMay 27, 20185 Comments1 Min Read

We all know children are our future, but sometimes we need to get out of the house and away from them for a while. But you can’t leave toddlers home alone – that would be really bad, so who are we going to hire to babysit our young tykes?

My theoretical child would probably be like myself, getting into all manner of bizarre situations and having a weird sense of humor. So I think he or she needs a babysitter to fit that (rather than to balance it out), which is why I picked Booster Gold and Blue Beetle, though I will say Squirrel Girl and Spider-Gwen came in at a very close second.

Zan and Jayna come with a monkey, and what kid doesn’t love a monkey? Wonder Twin sitters, activate!

I would have Squirrel Girl and Spider-Gwen babysit my kid. I know Squirrel Girl watched Luke’s kid and kept her safe from super villains and took her for walks. I wouldn’t trust Booster with my kid at all. Zan and Jayna is my backup sitters.

If I am hiring a babysitting team I want a certain amount of responsibility. That means I don’t want Thanos, Galactus or Darkseid to come in while I am out to dinner with my wife and wreck my kitchen. I can handle Reggie Mantle (even though he IS the worst), but no cosmic warlords bent on either world domination or total destruction. Archie and Juggy for my babysitting needs.

There’s no universe in which I’m letting Archie Andrews near a kid, same with Booster Gold. I don’t know much about the Wonder Twins but I do know Squirrel Girl has experience with babysitting so I’m going with her and Spider-Gwen.
