    SuperTeens vs Crusaders #1
    Archie Comics

    [Solicitations] The SuperTeens return!

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherFebruary 25, 2018Updated:February 25, 20182 Mins Read

One of the more “interesting” gimmicks Archie Comics pulled was turning the Archie gang into superheroes. Now, the SuperTeens are returning in a new two-issue mini-series featuring the SuperTeens teaming with The Mighty Crusaders.

In 1965, Archie’s superhero identity, Pureheart the Powerful, arrived on the scene in Life with Archie #42 from Frank Doyle and Bill Vagoda.  The rest of the gang got in on the superhero antics as Super Teen (Betty Cooper), Evilheart (Reggie Mantle, because he’s the worst), Captain Hero (Jughead Jones), and Miss Vanity (Veronica Lodge) joined the lineup in the following years.

This new limited series event will see Archie and the gang encountering Archie Comics’ more traditional heroes in a caper packed with more hamburgers than any other superhero comic on the stands. It’ll take the two most powerful superhero teams in the world to save Riverdale – but can they work together to get things done? Either way, it’ll be fun for all of us to read and find out for ourselves!

    SuperTeens vs Crusaders #1

The two-issue mini-series will be written by Ian Flynn, David Williams, and Gary Martin, with art from Kelsey Shannon, Williams, Martin and Jack Morelli. Archie SuperTeens vs. Crusaders #1 is scheduled to arrive on June 20, 2018.
