    [Business] Wes Harris joins Dabel Brothers Publishing as VP of Business Development

    Dabel Brothers Publishing is excited to welcome Wes Harris to its growing executive team. In his role as VP of Business Development, Harris will work to cultivate new partnerships and lead the way toward innovative opportunities for sales and growth. The move will enable Dabel Brothers to expand its reach in the comic and graphic novel arena as well as in TV and film.

    “Wes is someone I have wanted to work with for a long time,” said Les Dabel, CEO of Dabel Brothers. “It is definitely an honor to have him as part of the team. His years of experience will no doubt help us become a major player in the industry, and we are excited to see where Wes will take us in 2018 and beyond.”

    Wes HarrisHarris brings to the company an impressive background in management and business development, where his accomplishments include securing direct sales orders with major national accounts such as Disney Parks Merchandise, Scholastic Book Fairs, and Hastings, in addition to leading product and branding efforts and driving business strategy initiatives for companies across the book and digital media publishing industry. His past positions include VP of Business Development at White Wolf Publishing, Director of Brand and Product Marketing at Viz Media, and VP of Publishing at BOOM! Studios.

    “Dabel Brothers Publishing is in an exciting place right now in the industry,” said Harris. “Their recent partnership with Zac Brown’s Southern Ground was just announced, and that’s only the beginning of what they have in the works. This is a phenomenal team, and I see incredible potential to introduce fans to new and exciting products.”

    As VP of Business Development, Harris will leverage his unique experience to plan and implement strategies to increase sales and grow and scale the business. In addition to special account sales and foreign language sub-license sales, Harris will oversee the management of inbound and outbound licensing as well as contract negotiation and drafting.
