For a while in the 1960s, it seemed that more Kryptonians had survived the death of their planet than actually perished, including Superman’s extended family, his dog, pet monkey, cousin and even his mother and father! (For real, y’all. Check out Superboy #158, if you don’t believe me.) A 1986 revamp made Superman the literal Last Son Of Krypton again, but in recent years we’ve seen the slow return of nearly all the Kryptonian concepts, leading to today’s extraterrestrial query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) notes that poor Beppo The Super-Monkey is still gone, though, asking: Do you believe Superman should be the literal Last Son of Krypton?

Yes. It takes away one of the interesting aspects of Kal-El when there are numerous Kryptonians wandering around out there.
Yeah. As above, I feel like adding too many Kryptonians will make Superman less special. Few Phantom Zone characters here and there are fine, but lets keep it that way.
Yes. I don’t mind the occasional Krypronian-like aliens (like Mon-El or other aliens with similar powers), Kryptonian hybrids (such as a child or grandchild or so of a Kryptonian and another race), clones or things like that, and Supergirl and a few long-term Phantom Zone characters are fine because that doesn’t nullify him being the LAST SON, but it lessens some of the impact of the idea of who Kal-El is as a being outside of Clark and Superman if there are a bunch of other pure Kryptonians running around.
