My friend Sarah tells a story about how, when she was a little girl, her terrible siblings convinced her that a local house of similar design was THE house from ‘The Amityville Horror.’  She was traumatized by this, and to this day refuses to drive down that street, but I always think how I might actually want to visit the actual Amityville Horror house.  Of course, I’d also be interested in the ‘Psycho’ house, the farm from ‘Cabin Fever’ and other silly locations, as I enjoy trashy horror flicks.  When it comes to visiting a beloved pop culture place, I’d really have far too many options, leading us to today’s not-necessarily-horror-influenced question…

The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) would probably choose Quark’s Bar, if only to hear Morn’s legendary tall tales, asking: What pop culture place, if it existed, would you MOST like to visit?

About Author

Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now... Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture! And a nice red uniform.
