We all know that you can stop into any Hot Topic, Spencer’s or even an athletic store and get yourself a cool Batman shirt. With geek culture on the rise there are more and more small businesses getting in on this zeitgeist shift. That in mind, every month it is my goal to feature independent artisans who create unique geeky items based around a specific theme.

Chic Geek for this month is all about cool Hamilton: An American Musical swag in honour of the Presidents’ Day civic holiday in the United States!

Unicorn Empire Prints

Unicorn Empire Prints is an Etsy-only shop that is exclusively t-shirts and tote bags. They host a variety of nerdy designs, but Hamilton lyrics and icon phraseology make up a good portion of what is in stock.

I am not throwing away my shot is prominently displayed on a women’s shirt, as well as the lyrics to the entire Alexander Hamilton song that can be found on a tote bag.

What is really great about Unicorn Empire Prints is the overall design quality. The visuals are deftly executed in an exciting style that feels like it could have been lifted directly from the latest Her Universe collection. They are just stunning. WERK!
Approximate price range: $12.00 – $40.00

Enthusiastic Cande Co.

Enthusiastic Candle Co. is an Etsy-only shop that specializes in fandom candles. Their main focus has been Hamilton and they have different scents for many of the most popular characters including Alexander Hamilton, himself, Maria Reynolds, George Washing … AND PEGGY!

Consumers can purchase bigger sized candles individually or an entire fandom pack of smaller sized candles – not unlike the Adagio Teas fandom pack model.

As all of Enthusiastic Candle Co.’s products are soy based they are both good for the home and good for the environment, so raise a couple more to the revolution!

Approximate price range: $7.00 – $20.00

asunnydisposish is named after the opening lines to Wednesday Addams’ Pulled from the Addams Family Musical and offers cutesy collectibles – their most popular line being: Hamilton.

Here fans can get everything from an Alexander Hamilton plushie to to acrylic pins to notebooks for the next great American Musical to be penned in. The array of products offered is a little less focused than some of the boutiques listed above, but asunnydisposish has just the cutest designs and they are well made.

If you’re looking for some knick-knacks and odds and ends inspired by Lin-Manual Miranda’s version of the Founding Fathers this shop is absolutely worth checking out.

Approximate price range: $12.00 – $30.00

Im Kels

Im Kels is a great jumping off point if you are looking to bring a little Hamilton into your home decor! This Etsy shop focuses almost entirely on drinkware and they have a very sweet mug inspired by the original logo.

The shop is relatively new and may soon be expanding into celebrating more and more popular properties, but right now Hamilton remains the best selling item in Im Kels shop. Getting in on the ground level of their growth could mean better deals now than in the future – check it out!

The mugs celebrate not only the wonderful musical, but the glitz and glamour that many people romanticize when they think of the lacy of Broadway.

Approximate price range: $10.00 +

Perdita’s Wardrobe

Perdita’s Wardrobe is a largely cosplay line of clothing. They host a variety of clothes items, with a big focus on dresses. That in mind, they have crafted a traditionally feminine item (a dress), from a traditionally masculine costume (the soldier’s outfit), into a lovely final product.

This Hamilton dress is made to size, which means that it is customizable and open to all consumers with all body-types – a big plus in my recommendation of it! Conversely, that means that Perdita’s Wardrobe does have a pretty high price point compared to everything else that has been included on this list.

Whether or not one wants to use the dress as a cosplay outfit or as a unique staple in their everyday wardrobe that is certain to be unlike anything anyone else has, Perdita’s Wardrobe is the place to begin!

Approximate price range: $170.00+

I hope you find a collection of singular Hamilton merchandise from this list from either yourself or a special person in your life. If you do pick anything up, let me know in the comment section below – or if you have any other sweet shops that you would like see featured on Chic Geek in the future, please share them in the comment section as well.
