[Business] We’re getting MST3K merchandise and comics!

    Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherFebruary 17, 2017Updated:February 17, 20171 Comment1 Min Read

When I was in college, I discovered Mystery Science Theater 3000 when it was still in its infancy. It was a radical change in how I viewed television, and it became a touchstone for making new friends.  Now, while the revival gets closer to release, Dark Horse Comics has announced a new deal that will bring licensed MST3k comics and merch our way.

We are excited to announce a new partnership with the popular entertainment brand and cult-hit comedy series Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K), which is slated to include a brand-new comic series as well as a variety of Dark Horse–designed products.

Dark Horse is just one licensee that signed on for the consumer product program. At this time, I don’t know who else is on board, but I think we are going to see officially licensed 1:1 scale robots coming our way in the near future.

Hopefully we’ll hear more as Toy Fair 2017 gets underway in New York.

Awesome! I was excited already for the MST3K Funko Pops that were revealed a few weeks back (design stage only at this point, but still, Pops of Crow and Servo, gotta love that!), but this has me super giddy!
