[Gaming] AEG announces 2017 Smash Up releases

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherJanuary 30, 2017Updated:January 30, 20172 Mins Read

Smash-Up fans, AEG has you covered with four releases for 2017.

First up is What Were We Thinking. This is one AEG teased for the longest time, and we’ve mentioned more than a few times on Munchkin Land and this site. Included in this expansion are Explorers, Grannies, Rock Stars, and Teddy Bears… yup, what were they thinking.  This should be  a lot of fun, especially when you get to combine Rockstars (think Elvis), with Vampires.

Over the summer, AEG launches the All-Star Event Kit. This one will require you to contact your Friendly Local Game Store to get them to order the All-Star Event Kit and have an in store event.

This faction is a specifically chosen mix of existing Smash Up minions and actions that have formed an all-star team.

This may be one to skip, especially if these are just rereleases of cards you already have.

Then, this fall, the set everyone will want to grab, Smash-Up: Big in Japan! Just look at the box, there is nothing else you need to know.

If you want to get your hands on a free faction, AEG asks you to fill out a survey to get a Sheep Deck!

Smash-Up Sheep obediently and harmlessly follow other minions around from base to base. (Then they mercilessly crush their opponents with a wave of minions no one can stop). So in this case its good to be a sheep! Please let new fans who buy Smash Up know to sign up so that they can go and get the Sheep deck too!

It looks like our Smash-Up box is going to overflow very soon, and I can’t wait to get my hands on these new cards.
