While researching an upcoming Ten Things, I happened upon the issue of Howard The Duck wherein the creative team behind classic 70s Batman (including the legendary Laughing Fish storyline) took Howard and Bev into action as Duckman and Duck-Girl. The story includes a priceless Duckmobile and a set of giant props upon which to fight, making it a top contender for my favorite Batman stand-in story of all time, leading to today’s faux-chriopteric query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) still has a deep love for President Kyle Richmond, the Nighthawk of the Squadron Supreme, asking: Who’s the best Batman stand-in or analogue?

My favorite is probably Darkwing Duck. He’s as much Spirit/Shadow stand in as Batman but they are all the same to me.
Seconded for DW.
