Writer: Jeremy Whitley, Todd Casey, and Elliot Casey
Artist: Laura Braga, Paul Davidson
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Cover Price: $4.99
• It’s Halloween in the Marvel U! What does that mean for KATE BISHOP, A.K.A. HAWKEYE? Well, I can’t tell you here but I CAN guarantee it involves a haunted house, some witty one-liners, and a bad guy shot full of arrows…
• Then it’s time to give thanks for…THE PUNISHER?! When an op goes south, Frank Castle finds himself in a subterranean game of cat and mouse! It’s a life or death tale that’ll satisfy more than any turkey dinner!

ROB: Mostly I’m just a sucker for any story that involves Kate Bishop. Of course, Halloween is fun too.

Writer: Brian Clevinger
Artist: Scott Wegener
Publisher: IDW Publishing
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: Look, we may have started drinking heavily and hiding in the woods to hone our post-civilization skills in between that last solicit and now. Are we good? Has civilization survived? Ignore your problems and finish reading Atomic Robo. Plus look on page 4 Panel 3 for a ~~~SECRET MESSAGE~~~

STEPHEN: The question I get the most from Spoilerites around the world – “What comic book do you recommend for a new comic book reader?” The answer is, and always will be – ATOMIC ROBO. Pick it up, enjoy the story, appreciate the great art, and find the joy that is Atomic Robo. Sadly, I do not have a pamphlet or other reading material to share with you to spread the good word… for now.

Writer: Tom King
Artist: Mikel Janin
Publisher: DC Comics
Cover Price: $2.99
SOLICITATION: “I AM SUICIDE” part four! As Bane decimates Batman’s team, the Dark Knight must decide how far he’s willing to go-and who he’s willing to sacrifice-for those he left in Gotham City.

WAYNE: I’m really into this new Rebirth title, so I’m anxiously awaiting these great issues!

Writer: Nick Spencer
Artist: Javier Pina
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Cover Price: $19.99
SOLICITATION: He’s back! Steve Rogers – the original Sentinel of Liberty – is reinvigorated, with a new shield, a new team, a new mission…and a new secret! Because Steve isn’t the only one who’s returned. Cut off one limb, and two more will take its place – Hail Hydra! And never in Captain America’s history have those two words been so dramatic! But as a resurgent Hydra once more worms its insidious way into Steve’s life, he’s caught in the crossfire when the Red Skull takes on Baron Zemo! And when Iron Man and Captain Marvel lead the Marvel Universe into CIVIL WAR II, Cap finds himself stuck in the middle again! Can Steve keep the peace as heroes choose sides, tragedy strikes and the trial of Maria Hill begins? Collecting CAPTAIN AMERICA: STEVE ROGERS #1-6; and material from FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2016 (CAPTAIN AMERICA) #1.
Rated T+

ROB: I’ve been moderately interested in this title since it initially appeared but never quite enough to grab it. Now that it’s in trade though, I think I’ll be grabbing this.

Writer: Marc Andreyko
Artist: Livesay, Aaron Lopresti
Publisher: DC Comics
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: With both Adam Strange and Hawkman on the run as intergalactic fugitives with bounties on their heads, the march to war between Thanagar and Rann intensifies! In order to stop it, the heroes must secretly try to unravel who—or what—is instigating hostilities while dodging pursuit from all corners of the universe! And if you thought you knew Despero, you were wrong!

WAYNE: It’s so good to read Hawkman again! More, I say, more!

Writer: Mark Russell
Artist: Steve Pugh
Publisher: DC Comics
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: Bedrock is gripped by panic at the news that an asteroid is heading straight toward Earth! The Flintstones fight the hysteria, but even more dangerous than the end of the world are the people preparing for the end of the world.

CHRIS: Still the best of DC’s Hanna Barbera comics. Still better than the average book from DC.

Writer: Ben Oliver
Artist: Tom Derenick, Pop Mhan
Publisher: DC Comics
Cover Price: $2.99
SOLICITATION: Don’t miss the start of this new series bridging the gap between the recently concluded INJUSTICE digital first series and the upcoming Injustice 2 game! The story of the first INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US videogame is told in comic book format for the first time, but from the skewed perspective of Harley Quinn. As heroes from the parallel Earth arrive to tip the balance against Superman’s regime, Harley’s determined to cause her own brand of mayhem with her newly formed Joker Clan!

ROB: Injustice was an interesting take on the fall of Superman and I’m happy to see the actual downfall explored further than it was able to be within the confines of the game.

WAYNE: I’ve never even played the videogame, but I find this title completely engrossing because it’s so different! Can’t wait!

Writers: Mike Mignola, Chris Roberson
Artist: Christopher MItten
Publisher: Dark Horse Comics
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: A narrow escape from hooded attackers slows the team on their mission to stop a cult’s human sacrifice, while their strange guide’s dark visions become more urgent but no less mysterious.

STEPHEN: The penultimate issue, probably isn’t the best jumping on point, but Rise of the Black Flame is so worth picking up the entire run. This issue has enough spooky bits, enough surprises, and fantastic art, that you need to pick it up this week.

Writer: Reilly Brown, Fred Van Lente
Artist: Diego Olortegui
Publisher: Marvel
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: Steve Harmon was an average teenager who had an average job as your average clown, living in average New Jersey. But after being zapped by weird and mysterious extradimensional energy, Steve became Slapstick, a living, breathing cartoon! Now, after joining, and then quitting, Deadpool’s Mercs for Money, Slapstick is striking it out on his own terms! Sure he’s gotta move back in with his parents, but these new business ventures take time. And anyways, he gets to team-up with the Amazing Spider-Man in his first issue. That seems like he’s doing pretty well to me!

CHRIS: This is the world we’re living in now. Donald Trump is President and Slapstick has his very own comic book. There’s enough curiosity in me to check this out. Fred Van Lente’s name in the writing duties helps a bit too.

Writer: James Roberts, Nick Roche
Artist: Alex Milne
Publisher: IDW Publishing
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: A DATE WTH DESTINY! After years of doing very little, Krok, Crankcase, Fulcrum, Spinister, and Misfire think they can wriggle out of anything-but not even they can avoid a heavily-promoted multi-franchise crossover. It’s the Scavengers Versus Your Childhood in a story that exposes all other art for the sham it is.
• What will the universe’s worst DECEPTICONS make of the world’s greatest crossover?
• One last dance with the your favorite DECEPTICONS before LOST LIGHT begins next month!
• The entire creative team that launched MTMTE returns!

CHRIS: Though the last Transformers Revolution crossover issue wasn’t very good, this one has me excited. James Roberts and Alex Milne have been killing it on MTMTE. It’s a fun book all around with great characters. Plus, the incredibly nice Nick Roche is writing this too and deserves everything that he works on to be bought.
