A lot of really dumb questions have caused massive internet fights in recent years: the color of a dress; whether someone is Ellen DeGeneres or Justin Bieber; but most of all whether a sausage on a roll is the same as a ham on rye. Though the internet may be fractious and contentious, even about something as innocuous that’s not the word I want as a sandwich, that’s, I believe that you, the Faithful Spoilerites, are a wise, thoughtful people and thus we can have this discussion without the backbiting and snarking that often accompanies it elsewhere, which leads us to today’s massively important query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) is not afraid to ask the hard and divisive questions, asking: Is a hot dog classified as a sandwich?

I don’t, because none of the sandwiches I can find ingredients in my fridge would resemble hot dog in any way.

Well if you knew the answer, why’d you ask the question? :)
Because it’s all about the discussion. It is the journey that matters, not the destination, young grasshopper…
Unless a hotdog is cut in half and laid on a piece of bread, then I would definitely consider it a sandwich.
Sure. Just as a Phillie Cheesesteak or any other sub/hoagie/hero/etc. is also classified as a sandwich.
