It has been revealed that the big crossover event between the CWTV DC shows will feature the most horrifying villains of all time – The Dominators.
DC Comics broke the news on its Instagram feed earlier today, and for those who remember the 1980s crossover event, Invasion, then you know how horrible these aliens are.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Marc Guggenheim said:
This year, for our mega ‘Arrowverse’ crossover, we’re taking inspiration from a DC crossover from the late 1980s known as Invasion!, which featured an alien race called the Dominators, who’d previously vexed the Legion of Superheroes, We’re using cutting edge prosthetics and computer effects to achieve a feature film-quality look which is faithful to Invasion! artist Todd McFarlane’s interpretation of the characters.
Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will all take part in the event, and for those that have been following the Supergirl casting news, this story reveal is going to be very important.
Why? In the Invasion storyline, the Dominators led a force of alien races in an invasion of Earth to wipe out metahumans. One of those invading forces were from Daxam – the homeworld of Mon-El, aka Superboy’s Brother, aka future Legion of Super-Heroes member, aka a character that has been cast and will appear in many episodes of Supergirl.
Yeah. This season of CW television is going to get really intense.

I’ve only seen the Dominators in action in the most recent Legion run, but I’m stoked about this if they have a similar “If you rank below me you are expendable” culture.
