Please forgive me, as I am simply researching this podcast for my children ages 15-11 years old. Since I don’t have the time to listen to every episode, could someone tell me if this is age appropriate for them? They are all D and D and Pathfinder nuts and heard of this amazing podcast. Just trying to keep their impressionable psyche relatively unscathed. :) TIA !

Last I checked the explicit tags on this show were pretty low. There may be an occasional swear that gets through, but nothing over the top, and nothing intentionally planned. Also, there is a lot of killing that takes place in this show. Monsters attack the party all the time, and they often resort to killing the creatures to save their lives. I don’t believe there is any nudity that your children will see, though some find it appalling when the 3/4 orc takes off his shirt.

Well, since the party is dead, maybe we can find out what the afterlife is like. Smith can show them around.

Wait! Didn’t Guy recently warn the party NOT to die?

He said it in Supernal, so most of the party didn’t understand him. And Ket has become blasé about being on vehicles that blow up, because it didn’t kill him last time, so he didn’t realize it was a problem this time.

Well, whether they understood the warning or not, they may be about to become the quarry of the Obsidian Huntress!

Momentarily leaving aside the tragic, abrupt, and certainly permanent deaths of the entire party, I thought this was an exceptionally fun episode. I laughed out loud at a ton of little things:

      • Little Sparkle’s upbeat “Definitely!” when The Queen’s Rebellious Daughter asked whether the party set off the alarms

      • Orem repeatedly trying to blame Ket for the alarms going off, and everybody just ignoring him

      • Orem proudly noting to QRD that he had created a winch

      • “The 10th floor is foam.”

      • Sekhar’s weary, sighing disgust at QRD over the idea of changing the plan YET AGAIN

      • “We need to somehow blow open this wall and then go rocketing out into space on a makeshift device also powered by explosives. We’ve got, like, two minutes to make that happen.” *everyone just looks at Randus, obviously*

      • “Is that tungsten? What are you thinking?”

Rodrigo: [pulls out a gun and shoots the party] Huh. Turns out getting a tpk was easier than I thought.

As much as I enjoyed the return of QRD, I don’t buy the seemingly abrupt end to the party…even the whole session and how it was handled to kind of force them out of the building.

But…Rodrigo has proven me wrong before, so I will put aside my misgivings since he knows what he’s doing. In Rodrigo we trust!

Does anyone else think if Randus had said the rod wasn’t Tungsten that QRD would still have said ‘What are you thinking?’

Songs will be written about you guys, and poems, and probably a few jokes about your unceremonious end.

It would be so meta if updates just stopped now. If the feed fell silent, and the episodes stopped coming. You know, if we just never heard from any of them again.

Five years from now, with no warning, a new episode shows up on the feeds. It consists entirely of Torq returning from the Feywild and wandering around saying “Uh, hey guys? Guys?” into empty, silent space.

So I sat in my car for several minutes dumbstruck at the conclusion of the episode. But I was dubious when the moon fell from the sky and I’ve stuck with you through everything since. I count the hours until the next episode. Thanks for all the great adventures!
