I picked up Clean Room. So far it’s good.

Invincible is going out on top and that makes me happy. Ryan Ottley being free to do other work makes me ecstatic.

Really enjoyed the Tick talk. I watched the Amazon pilot and liked it. I’m hoping it gets the green light.

You did miss one angle on the question of “Why does The Tick keep getting made into TV shows?” At least for the most recent iteration, the answer is that Ben Edlund has clout. With producer and writer credits on shows from Firefly to Supernatural to Powers, he’s connected to the business of SF/superhero television in ways that make it easier for him to get stuff done.

The Tick is part of my justification for choosing pirates in the age-old debate of “pirates vs. ninjas?”. As long as we’re talking about the plural, pirates will always win, because ninjas in groups are worthless. A single ninja is an unstoppable killing machine, though, so if the question is “pirate vs. ninja”, the ninja wins.

This is true. A pack of ninjas always attacks one at a time…
