Good news, everyone! The DC Comics Encyclopedia is coming back!
Way back in 1978, DC Comics released the now famous DC Comics Encyclopedia, which featured Lex Luthor stealing forty cakes (that’s as many as four tens. And that’s terrible). The book has been the butt of jokes, but the intent was to create an encyclopedia of 4,000 words to help kids learn.
In October, DC Comics Encyclopedia Updated Edition arrives that will feature 1,100 characters from the DC Universe helping to illustrate all important words. The book is written by Matthew K. Manning and Alex Irvine.
Created in full collaboration with DC Comics, this easy-to use A-to-Z guide is the most comprehensive reference book on the DC Comics characters. Packed with information and thrilling comic book art, this one-volume encyclopedia features more than 1,100 characters, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Joker, and much more.
Even though this is an updated book, I really hope they do not change the definition of Forty.
