[SDCC’16] Dynamite Entertainment reveals guests for The Feminine Perspective and The Art of the Deal panels

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherJuly 20, 2016No Comments3 Mins Read

On Thursday and Friday this week, Dynamite Entertainment will host two panels at the San Diego Comic Con, and have revealed their lineup of panels.

DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT: THE ART OF THE DEAL
    Thursday, 7/21/15, 5:30pm – 6:30pm
    Location: Room 8

In 2004, Dynamite Entertainment exploded into the world of licensed comics with the release of fan-favorite Army of Darkness. Since that time, the “little publisher that could” has grown into the leading publisher that does. Dynamite has become the industry leader in books based on film, television, video games, and more, with such diverse world-renowned brands as Atari, James Bond, Grumpy Cat, Bob’s Burgers, and so many more! Discover the shape of comics to come, courtesy of Dynamite staff members and some of the entertainment industry’s greatest creative minds, including:

    • Amy Chu Writer of the upcoming Kiss comic book series, based on the legendary rock ‘n roll band
    • Craig Engler Co-Creator of SyFy’s television hit, Z Nation, and writer of the upcoming Dynamite comic book series
    • Fred Chesnais Chairman of the Board and CEO for ATARI, Dynamite’s partner on the highly-anticipated Art of ATARI
    • Luke Lieberman President of Red Sonja, LLC, and writer/licensor for one of Dynamite’s longest-running series, Red Sonja
    • Pierce Brown Author of Red Rising, the New York Times bestselling sci-fi trilogy, soon to be a Dynamite comic book series
    • Roger Black Co-Creator of Comedy Central’s Brickleberry, and currently co-writing the Dynamite comic book
    • Waco O’Guin Co-Creator of Comedy Central’s Brickleberry, and currently co-writing the Dynamite comic book

    DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT: THE FEMININE PERSPECTIVE
    Friday, 7/22/15, 1:00pm – 2:00pm
    Location: Room 4

It is no secret that Dynamite Entertainment has published some of the most iconic female characters in comics, including such titles as Vampirella, Red Sonja, Dejah Thoris (of Warlord of Mars), and Xena: Warrior Princess. Now, as the industry reaches a turning point in both creative and readership, the publisher brings together some of the brightest stars in comics to discuss the changing role of women on and off the page! One of the most important discussions happening in the industry today continues, courtesy of the Dynamite staff and comics superstars:

    • Caitlin Kittredge Author of Nocturne City and The Iron Codex novel series, and Dynamite’s all-new Grimm comic book series
    • Corinna Bechko Writer of Dynamite’s Lords of the Jungle, Miss Fury, and Aliens / Vampirella comic books, as well as Star Wars
    • Gail Simone Writer of Batgirl, Secret Six, Wonder Woman, Deadpool, and Dynamite’s Red Sonja and Swords of Sorrow
    • Ramona Fradon Industry legend, whose artistic accomplishments include Aquaman, Brenda Starr, and Art of Ramona Fradon

Both of these panels sound like excellent panels to attend.
