Marvel has announced that FX Networks has ordered a pilot based on the Legion character created by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz.
The pilot introduces the story of David Haller: Since he was a teenager, David has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.
Noah Hawley has been tapped to write the pilot episode and serve as executive producer for the show. Lauren Shuler Donner, Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb, Jim Chory, and John Cameron will also produce.
FX Productions will handle the actual production of the pilot, while Marvel Television aids in production. With Legion falling fully on the mutant side of the Marvel character line, don’t expect this show to cross over with Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, or any of the other Marvel properties anytime soon.

I loved the legion story. And if I’m not mistaken it starts the age of apocalypse series.
