DC Entertainment president, Diane Nelson has new job responsibilities as the Warner Bros. Consumer Products following Brad Globe stepping down.
The news came down on Friday that Nelson would remain the president and chief content officer of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
“With more and more of our consumer products business being directly driven by DC characters and storylines, a closer alignment of the divisions makes a lot of sense for us,” said studio chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara. “Diane’s background, which includes a great balance of business, creative and marketing, will help us bring fans exciting news ways to enjoy all of Warner Bros.’ great entertainment properties through wide-reaching, innovative consumer products experiences.”
To date, Nelson has made some smart moves and changes in the company, and we’ve seen positive results in comic growth, television attention and in the video game area. Now we’ll see what she can do in merchandising DC, Harry Potter, and more.
