[Movies] Captain America: Civil War Debuts Teams

Ashley Victoria RobinsonBy Ashley Victoria RobinsonAugust 27, 20159 Comments1 Min Read

Captain American: Civil War has finally released a first look at the two opposing sides of the superhero registration act led by Steve Rogers and Tony Stark respectively.

Anti-Registration: Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Agent 13, Captain America, Falcon, Winter Soldier

Pro-Registration: War Machine, Black Widow, Iron Man, Black Panther, the Vision

The photos released above have revealed that several characters will be more involved in the events of Captain America: Civil War than perhaps was originally thought (Agent 13, Black Panther and the Vision, certainly), while begging the question of where the Scarlet Witch is? Where are some of the other Avengers main stagy characters like Thor and the Hulk? While these promotional images are certainly exciting they seem to ask as many question as they answer. Additionally, there is a notable lack of Spider-Man in either images.

Why would Black Widow be for registration when shes a spy? Wouldn’t it be in her best interest to not make her name public?

She’s already well known, at the end of Winter Soldier she’s in front of a tribunal.

Who/what is the ship/bird thingy on Cap’s team photo? It also appears flying above Falcon on the vs picture.

I hope Scarlet Witch, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Daredevil, Night Nurse and Spider-Man have at least a cameo.

Spider-Man in particular had a huge role in the comic book version of the story line, I don’t see how they can have him as part of the Marvel Universe and not make him part of Civil War.

P.S. Crossbones will certainly be there, but will Sin be there as well? What about Coulson and the Agents of SHIELD? They really need an official movie appearance by now.

I dont really see Black Widow and Black Panther on pro registration side. Both seem hypocritical that way, Widow like “my cover has blown so might as well drag the rest with me” and Panther “Im more an aristocratic ruler than African man, continent suffered perhaps the most from ruler’s persecution during the history of man”.

But pro registration was full of hypocrites and douches in comic too, so there you go. Terrible reasoning by many of the key characters which make me dislike them to this day. So called greatest minds of Marvel Universe reduced to petty little dictators full of lust for power and revenge.

Wait for the movie… Black Widow might be on the the Pro-Team at the start, but if one character is likely to switch sides in a dramatic way, my bet is on the Widow.

Pro registration is boss! (everybody wants to hate on the smartest and the wining team). They always were, unlike those traitors. In this version of the marvel characters it makes sense that Panther would be on the governments side. He’s a king, and aiding rebels in the U.S wouldn’t be the wisest decison.
