[Television] Wally West has been cast in The Flash!

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherAugust 5, 20151 Comment1 Min Read

We heard a while ago that Wally West was coming to The Flash, and now we know that Keiynan Lonsdale will play one of the greatest speedsters of them all!

Since we know that Wally West is the nephew of Iris West, and we know that she doesn’t have any brothers or sisters in the show, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that some dimension hopping is going to be involved in the introduction of the character. In the New 52, Wally West is of African descent, so it shouldn’t be a big surprise for anyone.

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said of Lonsdale’s casting, “Just like when we met Grant for the first time, we instantly knew Keiynan embodied all the heart and courage of a hero. We are so excited to be bringing this much-beloved character onto the show.”

I can’t wait to see how Wally West is used in the series, and if the show goes on long enough, a Crisis event may even more Wally to the spotlight in the future.

All I ask is that if they ever give him a costume, please use the yellow & red.
