    Press Release

Alex Ross’ acclaimed paintings have reached audiences through the media of comic books, movie posters, and video game packaging. His original artwork has been featured in museums such as the Norman Rockwell Museum in New York City and the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh. For this year’s Comic Con International San Diego, Alex Ross Art seeks to bring the art to fans in a way that many have never seen it. Attendees will get the chance to see original artwork presented as a brand-new gallery exhibit at Booth #2419 in the convention hall, as well as a variety of ways to own signed prints and books.

Ten new comic art prints will make their way to the convention, which can be purchased singularly or in a limited edition portfolio featuring all ten prints, signed and numbered to 250 along with a bonus matching signed and numbered sketch print of the Secret Wars #0 cover. An exclusive, signed and limited-edition double-size print of the wraparound Secret Wars #0 cover will also be offered for the very first time. This year, Alex Ross Art is releasing new 32-page black-and-white sketchbooks in two limited editions; the softcover edition is limited to only 1,000 copies, whereas the hardcover edition is further limited to only 300 numbered copies. Everything at the exhibit this year will be signed by the artist. Fans can also get their hands on coveted variant and incentive comic books, including Alex Ross Store exclusives, Star Wars, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, and Secret Wars, all signed and with Certificates of Authenticity. Within the gallery section, original artwork and sketches will be on display and available for purchase, including the latest Secret Wars cover art and Marvel 75th Anniversary variants.

Attendees’ first chance to peruse the gallery and purchase the exclusive art, books, and prints will be on Preview Night at the convention, July 8, from 6-9pm. Very limited quantities of all Comic Con International San Diego 2015 exclusives will be available at AlexRossArt.com beginning July 8. Attendees should also prepare themselves for Alex Ross Art’s special announcements for 2016’s Comic Con International.
