[Television] Heroes Reborn releases depressing trailer

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherJune 24, 20151 Comment1 Min Read

Are you ready for Heroes Reborn? I’m mixed on the return of the show that took a huge turn for the worst following season 2. A new trailer has been released asking “Where are the heroes?” and it is the most depressing trailer I’ve seen in a while.

In a desperate future, the world awaits its heroes. Don’t miss the premiere of Heroes Reborn, Thursday, September 24 at 8/7c on NBC.

    – YouTube

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Are you more or less interested in watching this limited television series when it arrives? Were you even interested in it when it was first announced? Will NBC simply rehash what it has done with the series before, or will it really try something new? Can NBC even do “comic book” series right? Too many questions, and I’m going to be half don’t even have answers when the series concludes.

If that’s the direction they’re going with, this series has already failed me. I mean.. I’ve always hated that, the public viewed as helpless sheep who can’t get along until a hero comes and saves them. Like if you’re not a hero(or a villian) you’re basically background scenery, and helpless. It makes everyone who’s not a protagonist seem weak and I already resent the protagonists for that.

That or I’m just having a bad night. Still I’m more critical and more wary of Heroes than I would be of most other shows – no show has ever excited me as much as the first episode of Heroes did, and no show has let me down quite so…repeatedly.
