    [C2E2] Aspen announces convention plans

    Aspen Comics will have a multi-imprint presence in Chicago from Friday, April 24th to Sunday, April 26th alongside Big Dog Ink for the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo 2015. This is the first time Aspen will be at C2E2 since 2012.

    Aspen president Frank Mastromauro will join Big Dog Ink founder Tom Hutchison, as well as Shahrazad writers Kim Hutchison and Kari Castor, at booth #706. There will also be a handful of Aspen/BDI creators available in Artist’s Alley: V Ken Marion (All New Soulfire) at B11, Jordan Gunderson (The Four Points) at K12, Nei Ruffino (Shahrazad) at P8, and Dirk Manning (Legend of Oz: The Wicked West) at H8.

    C2E2 marks the premiere of Shahrazad #2, which will not be in stores until May 6th, 2015. Aspen will have a C2E2 exclusive cover for Shahrazad #2 by Ruffino available for purchase at their booth, in addition to a Fathom: Kiani #3 exclusive cover by Michael Turner and Peter Steigerwald. These variants will also be available as exclusive full-size art prints, in addition to two Shahrazad #2 prints by J. Scott Campbell and Mike DeBalfo.

Aspen also produced the one-of-a-kind Anarchy digital graphic novel for the popular body spray company, Axe. In 2014, Aspen added fellow publisher, Big Dog Ink, as its first collaborative imprint.
