VIZ Media, LLC (VIZ Media), the largest distributor and licensor of manga and anime in North America, prepares the interstellar action of the second season of the classic SAILOR MOON anime series on Limited Edition Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack and also as a Standard DVD edition with the home media release of SAILOR MOON R Set 1 on July 14th! Pre-orders are available now from all major online retailers. Fans that pre-order from Rightstuf.com will receive a special gold-tone memorial coin featuring Usagi’s Crystal Star transformation brooch (while supplies last).
The new SAILOR MOON R Set 1 Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack and Standard DVD Set are rated “TV-PG” and contain Episodes 47-69 along with special premium packaging and some notable bonus features. Uncut English dubbed as well as original Japanese subtitled dialogue options are available on both formats. The Limited Edition SAILOR MOON R Set 1 Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack will carry an MSRP of $79.98 U.S. / $93.99 CAN; the Standard Edition DVD will carry an MSRP of $44.82 U.S. / $51.99 CAN.
The Limited Edition Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack will contain a deluxe, 6-disc collection (3 DVDs & 3 Blu-rays), packaged with a beautiful reflective holofoil slipcover with specialty printing. The Combo Pack also offers bonus content including a 96-page full-color episode guide along with exclusive interviews with the English cast, a special behind-the-scenes peek at the recording sessions to create the fresh English dub, and a video art gallery and official series trailers. Blu-ray episodes are presented in 1080p video preserving the original 4:3 aspect ratio.
The SAILOR MOON R Set 1 Standard DVD Set features 3 discs with beautifully illustrated variant O-card packaging and embossed holofoil printing. Episodes will be presented in 480p standard video format. Uncut English dubbed as well as Japanese subtitled dialogue options are available.
