There has been a lot of talk around the Major Spoilers HQ and on the various podcasts that I appear on regarding what Melissa Benoist will wear and look like when she is not saving the day as Supergirl. Looks like we have the answer in a series of photos from the set.
During the Silver Age, Linda Danvers would wear a dark wig to keep people guessing that Linda and Supergirl were not the same person. In a couple of photos from the Superman Homepage, Melissa Benoist is seen on set between takes with her hair down and wearing glasses… because no one will guess that she is Supergirl!

While she is on set, the glasses may not be part of her disguise. I don’t know Ms. Benoist, so I don’t know if she requires a prescription to see or not. The big question for you, Dear Reader is, “Is this a good secret identity look for Kara Zor-El?”
The eponymous series centers on Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El, who escaped from Krypton amid the planet’s destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she’s been hiding the powers she shares with her famous relative. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.
Also, from the descriptions I’m seeing on other sites, it looks like Supergirl will go by the name Kara Danvers instead of Linda. Big deal, or not?

I can dig it. Logically it’s a terrible disguise, but I love that they’re not running away from the mythos.
