Ben Hardy joins X-Men: Apocalypse cast

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherFebruary 25, 20153 Comments1 Min Read

According to Variety, actor Ben Hardy has been cast in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse movie, directed by Bryan Singer.

At this point we don’t have any details on the character Hardy will play, except that it is “significant” to the X-Men universe.

Here’s a quick rundown of some of the characters from the Age of Apocalypse storyline:

    • Legion (son of Professor X)
    • Nightcrawler
    • Gambit
    • Destiny
    • Cain
    • Callisto
    • Mystique
    • Moonstar
    • Damask
    • Dead Man Wade
    • Shadow King
    • Switchback
    • Sunspot
    • Jubilee
    • Strong Guy
    • Lila Cheney
    • Rictor
    • Shadowcat
    • Chamber
    • Husk
    • Mondo
    • Sabretooth
    • Blink
    • Wild Child
    • Morph
    • Sunfire
    • Quicksilver
    • Storm
    • Dazzler
    • Banshee
    • Iceman
    • Exodus
    • Jean Grey
    • Wolverine
    • Nate Grey
    • Forge
    • Toad
    • Brute
    • Sauron

Yes, he could be anyone, but if I had to put my money on the character, I’m going to with either Nate Grey, the son of Jean Grey and Cyclops, or Legion, the character that kicks this whole mess into high gear.

X-Men: Age of Apocalypse arrives in theaters on May 27, 2016.

I know! He’s going to play the voice of the X-gene in an animated 1950’s/1960’s style educational film “Mutants: Your Body, Your Powers and You!” that the X-Men will watch.

Or maybe not. I just can’t figure out who he’s going to be based on this photo.

Well based on the photo and stripey shirt he would be playing Kid Omega.
And judging from the background bananas. Kid Omega is a monkey in this version of things.

        Speculation is PHUN!

I know the photo has nothing to do with the movie, but usually when they announce someone we can make an educated guess, and sometimes an actor has a specific look that really narrows down the choices. But this kid? I honestly couldn’t even begin to make a guess considering just how many X-Men characters there are and how often one of them is “significant” at one point or another.
