    Critical Hit

    Munchkin Critical Hit is here!

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherOctober 16, 20145 Comments1 Min Read

Listeners of the Munchkin Land podcast know that we commissioned an artist to create cards for a Critical Hit themed Munchkin expansion set based on YOUR suggestions. We’re done, the sheets are formatted, and waiting for you to download them from the Major Spoilers VIP site and add them to your next play session.

DISCLAIMER: This is not an official Steve Jackson Games product. This is a fan created labor of love that we are giving away to our VIP members.

“Giving away” a fan-made Munchkin set to your PAID subscribers. How is this not profiting from someone else’s intellectual property?

First: Steve Jackson Games encourages people to make their own cards. That is why many packages contain blank cards and why you can buy 15 blank card sets at a time. Second, VIP members contribute financially to ensure all of the regular content is produced each and every month, making these a bonus/perk or “free” item we give them without charging additional fees as a way of saying Thank You for all that they do to ensure we are able to create new podcast episodes, videos, and maintain the site each and every month. Third: Everyone who contributed to these cards knew exactly what they were/are being used for. Fans of Munchkin Land submitted their ideas, and everyone who had their idea selected, gets a full set for free.

If you are one of our VIPs, then thank you! If you were someone who contributed an idea that was used, please contact me, and we’ll get that set to you asap.
