SDCC’14: Disney and Lucas Film give us a look ahead at Star Wars Rebels

Zach WoolfBy Zach WoolfJuly 25, 20142 Comments1 Min Read

We were able to get a long look at Star Wars Rebels with the extended trailer that Disney released last week, but now we can get a look ahead at was coming for season one with the latest footage shown at SDCC.

Get a sneak peek at what’s to come in the first season of Star Wars Rebels, including new scenes featuring the Inquisitor, Ezra’s Jedi training, and the appearance of a certain droid duo.

Scheduled to premiere in October 2014 as a one-hour special telecast on Disney Channel, Star Wars Rebels will be followed by a series on Disney XD channels around the world.

Ho Lee Crap. I am so excited for this show. The way Ezra uses both technology and his Force powers strikes a beautiful sounding chord deep within me. And for some reason, I can’t quite put my finger on what it is, but I love the design of the lightsabers. Maybe it is that the “sword” part seems a bit narrower than usual.

I might be exited about Star Wars Rebels, but what about you? Will you be tuning in to Disney in October to catch the first episodes?

He has a firm belief that if we could all just play with LEGOs for 30 minutes a day the world would be a better place. I like that it looks and feels like original trilogy. Not quite sold on all the characters yet, especially Ezra with his laser slingshot (guess they couldnt have young boy with blaster) and yet another “Jedi In Hiding(TM)”. Im still interested in this though and will definitely give it a chance, Clone Wars started a bit shaky too but got better and better with time.
