Marvel shows off the next three covers to Death of Wolverine

Jack TriggerBy Jack TriggerJune 25, 20142 Comments2 Mins Read

You’ve seen the cover for the first issue of Marvel’s Death of Wolverine, and now you want to see what the publisher has in store for you for issues #2, #3, and #4. Major Spoilers has you covered, Dear Spoilerite.

(see what I did there? Of course you did…)

Marvel released the three covers over the last day or so, and though the series doesn’t arrive until September, fans are already talking about how big this event is going to be:

“This is going to be a big event!” – Anonymous1602@hotmail.com

“Marvel is shaking up the universe again!” – WolvieFan2014

“Marvel is shaking up the universe… again.” – No1BatFan

“Can’t wait to see the variant covers!” – C0micC0llect0r4eva

Death of Wolverine is written by Charles Soule, the writer behind the current She-Hulk series, with Steve McNiven on art. This is a weekly series, which means Marvel is sure to capture the market and dollar share for September, as Wolverine remains one of the top comic book characters, and his death will certainly have major repercussions across the publishing industry.

“this weekly four-issue limited series chronicles the last day of the Wolverine as he makes his final stand. Left without his healing factor, the indestructible killing machine must come to terms with his newfound vulnerability. And when word gets out of his newfound mortality, villains from Logan’s past and present set their sights on his head.”

The month of September is going to be hot for comic retailers – how many Spoilerites are going to pick up this series? And more importantly, with the death of Spider-Man last year, Charles Xavier biting it not too long ago, and the Death of Wolverine just around the corner, what character will Marvel kill off in January 2015?
