    Sailor Moon Crystal Trailer Released

    AdrianaBy AdrianaJune 5, 2014Updated:June 5, 20141 Comment2 Mins Read

Or “The Only Thing That Matters or Ever Will Matter”. On June 5th, sailormoon-official.com finally dropped a promo trailer for the Sailor Moon: Crystal project. Since it was first announced on June 6, 2012, delayed, and delayed and then delayed again, fans of the hit anime and manga series have been prostrating themselves for any tiny bit of info or imagery, all we had was a promo illustration that obviously wasn’t from the anime itself. It wasn’t until late April of this year that we had official character designs for the main characters.

The trailer features the new opening theme song “Moon Pride”, performed by Momoiro Clover Z. The Jpop group will also be performing the ending theme, “Moon Rainbow”. The new series will air on niconico on July 5th, 2014 6:00am ET.

Viz recently announced that not only did they acquire rights to the new show, but the original 90s series as well. They have remastered all of the 1990’s episodes, and they will eventually be available on Blu-ray and DVD in both Japanese audio as well as a brand new English dub. Even better, these episodes will be uncut (lesbians!) and will include the episodes never aired in the US. If you want to watch the original series, it’s being presented in all its uncut, remastered glory on Hulu and Neon Alley, with new episodes releasing every Monday.
