    TOY FAIR: Dark Horse Comics

Kevin MakBy Kevin MakFebruary 17, 20142 Mins Read

Dark Horse Comics unveiled several toys and other products that will release in 2014.

One of the main lines coming up will be HBO’s Game of Thrones merchandise. Inspired by the popular fantasy cable television show, there will be a second wave of 8” figures featuring Arya Stark, Robb Stark, Jamie Lannister, Cersei Lannister and a White Walker. Each figure will be priced at $24.99 and will be released in July 2013. Dark Horse also showcased a bust of the Hound Sandor Clegane, a Weirwood tree snowglobe and an Arya Stark statue, similar to the Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister statues released last year. The 11” tall Arya Stark statue depicts her with Needle and priced at $225.00. Finally, rounding out the Game of Thrones merchandise is a replica set of the map markers and map the armies of Westeros use in the show. The map markers, ranging from 4 ½” to 6 “, represent the armies of the Lannisters, Starks, Greyjoys, Tyrells, Martells and Freys. This high-end piece includes a cloth map of Westeros, and priced at $199.99.

Fans of the Mass Effect franchise will be thrilled to see Dark Horse showcasing models of the ships from the popular video game at ToyFair this year. Featured at the show were the Mass Effect Alliance Cruiser ship, Mass Effect Alliance Shuttle Ship, and Mass Effect Turian Crusier Ship. For all the Zelda fans, Dark Horse is also releasing two statues of Link and Ganondorf. If you are more inclined to Dark Horse comic merchandise, there will be plush toys of Hellboy and Abe Sapian based on Art Baltazair & Franco’s Itty Bitty Hellboy. About 8 ½” tall, these will be coming out next month.
