MOVIES: Three new images from Amazing Spider-Man 2

Zach WoolfBy Zach WoolfNovember 9, 20135 Comments2 Mins Read

The first trailer for the Marc Webb directed Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be released in just over a month when it will run before The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, but we don’t have to wait till then to catch a glimpse of the film. Three new stills from ASM2 have been released and we see Spider-Man as a….firefighter?

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is directed by Marc Webb and written by Jeff Pinker, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) finds, life is busy between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away, but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past. Sony will release Amazing Spider-Man 2 in theaters next summer on May 2nd, 2014.

With the release of these images and a trailer on the way I can imagine we are about to start getting posters and 30 second trailers every other day. Hip hip hooray for aggressive marketing!

Amazing Spider-Man 2 will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

Spider-Man wearing a fireman’s helmet is awesomely comic booky.

It’s weird how the inside of Electro’s mouth doesn’t light up.

I mean, considering how all that light is supposed to come from within, why don’t you see it come out from one of the most obvious orifices of his body?

One can argue it only affects his skin, but then the side of his mouth is comprised of his skin. So is the inside of his nose for that matter.

Yeah, it looks ‘off’ – his mouth is too wide. Looks like he is a snake about to feed. Unless Foxx’s mouth is naturally that wide, in which case I feel silly.

So, Electro is the force ghost of Emporer Palpatine?

      Still hate it.
