The popular Disney show, Phineas and Ferb has already done its Marvel crossover, and now that the House of Mouse acquisition of Lucasfilm is complete, it is time for the two genius kids to take a trip to a galaxy far, far, away…
Today at the San Diego Comic-Con, Phineas and Ferb creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” March announced that an hour-long special is in the works to bring the P&F universe over to the Star Wars universe.
In the special “Star Wars” episode, their carefree existence on “Star Wars” planet Tatooine will be disturbed when plans to destroy the Death Star unwittingly fall into their hands.
According to Variety, the Star Wars episode of Phineas and Ferb will air next year on the Disney Channel and Disney XD. While I thought the Marvel crossover was handled well, it will be even more interesting to see how Povenmire and Marsh merge the mega-million dollar franchise with the number one kid’s cartoon show.
