SOLICITATIONS: Double Fine Action Comics gets first volume from Oni Press

Press ReleaseBy Press ReleaseMarch 21, 20132 Mins Read

    Press Release

A long-time feature of video game developer Double Fine Production’s website, Scott C.’s hilarious DOUBLE FINE ACTION COMICS has been running since 2005, and has reached quantities numbering well over 800 strips. On April 13, 2013, Oni Press brings you the first 300 of these strips in DOUBLE FINE ACTION COMICS V1, along with the next 300 strips, which have been packaged into DOUBLE FINE ACTION COMICS V2. The comic strip features Double Fine’s world famous logo, the Two-Headed Baby, who is joined in his adventures by beloved characters Knight, Muscleman, Captain, and Thompson, as well as many others including mummies, cute animals, and mummified cute animals.

Can’t wait until April? At PAX EAST 2013, Oni Press (Booth 1098) and Double Fine (Booth 992) will be debuting the very limited DOUBLE FINE ACTION COMICS COLLECTOR’S EDITIONS V1 & V2. For $50 each, you will receive a beautifully designed, shrink-wrapped, hardcover version of whichever volume you choose, each volume also including a numbered bookplate signed by Scott C.

If you miss your chance to score these collectibles at PAX EAST, don’t cry! Oni Press and Scott C. will be at MOCCA ARTS FEST April 6th-7th and they would love to high-five you for purchasing a COLLECTOR’S EDITION from either of them.  Also, Oni Press and Double Fine will begin selling the COLLECTOR’S EDITIONS on their websites on April 17, 2013, the same day the regular softcover editions go on sale at finer retailers and bookstores everywhere.

“Wear whatever you like while you read these books, but I recommend workout clothes. You might sweat a lot while you read these comics and I want you to be ready for that.” – Scott C.
