TOYS: Mattel shows off Red Rain Batman and Darkseid

    Zach WoolfBy Zach WoolfFebruary 5, 2013Updated:February 5, 20138 Comments1 Min Read

Toy Fair news is all over the Internet and Major Spoilers is right here to keep you in the know as Mattel releases images of coming Batman and Darkseid figures.

The Vampire Batman figure is based on the Batman vampire trilogy (1991′s “Batman and Dracula: Red Rain,” 1994′s “Batman: Bloodstorm” and 1998′s “Batman: Crimson Mist”) from the DC Comics imprint Elseworlds. In the trilogy, by Doug Moench and Kelley Jones, Batman becomes a vampire in order to face Dracula.

The Red Rain Batman figure would be an interesting add to a collectors shelves. The Darkseid figure seems to be disproportional and looks as if Darkseid has been skipping leg day.

Wow. Did anybody actually LOOK at a drawing of Darkseid before they sculpted that figure?

The Darkseid figure would look better if the artist had scaled down the head and shoulder pads just a bit!

Darkseid is built like a brick. His body and shoulders should be twice as wide, he has barely no waist, and this legs are tree trunks, half as wide as his body. The man is a Titan, after all! This abortion looks like Darkseid as reimaged by Richard Simmons. My goodness!
