    Press Release

The cult sci-fi phenomenon has been a feature film, a television show and even a couple comic book series at Marvel Comics.   Bluewater will be finally releasing the final two installments of the “Aftermath” storyline October 31st.

“The problem is after we left Diamond, was re-scheduling all the books – it was not as smooth as a transition as we thought it would be” said publisher Darren G. Davis. “We appreciate all the fans of this series and apologize for any delay”.

Next up for Logan this winter is a one shot called “Logan’s Run: Solo” written by Logan’s Run co-creator William F. Nolan as well as his writing partner Jason Brock.

Logan’s Run creator, William F. Nolan said, “The new Logan series from Bluewater is extremely satisfying. I could not be happier with their treatment and eagerly look forward to new issues”.

In 2013, “Logan’s Run: Rebirth” we will hitting the shelves.  Paul J. Salamoff is back for the newest mini series featuring Logan.  With art by V. Kenneth Marion and Cesare Tatarelli.  There is also plans in 2013 for another series called “Logan’s Run: Black Flower”.

The “Aftermath” story-arch takes place where “Last Day” left off.  The Thinker is destroyed and the world is in chaos, but Logan wants nothing to do with it. But the world isn’t done with him yet and when the lives of Jessica and his son Jaq are put in jeopardy, Logan must once again don his armor. I’ll take exception to Bluewater’s self promoting blurb above, specifically “Bluewater publishes comic books in partnership with… and celebrated actor Vincent Price” because Vincent Price shuffled off this mortal coil in 1992 and Bluewater Productions dates back to, what, 2009? In other words, they’re trading on a dead fellow’s reputation. Even if they have permission from Vincent Price’s heirs, the way they word it is as if Vincent Price was actively involved in the production of their comics. Which is a bit of a falsehood, if you ask me.

As for Logan’s Run, if I remember right, the movie had a definite end. The TV show was good, but since the whole premise of the thing had reached a resolution in the movie, it was pretty much fluff. Likewise, I’ve never had the desire to pick up any of the comics – again, because I was satisfied with the resolution of the movie.
