    Press Release

Join Oni Press and Bergen Street Comics as we kickoff New York City Comic Con 2012 with the most radical of all signings known to man on Wednesday, October 10th, 2012, from 6pm-9pm or later.

Philip Gelatt and Tyler Crook, creators of Petrograd, will be in attendance, along with Guerillas creator Brahm Revel.

Petrograd debuted last year and is a historical fiction graphic novel about the attempted assassination of Rasputin. Since then the book has received rave reviews and shout outs from many industry professionals as being a “must have” for any graphic novel collection.

Tyler Crook, artist of Petrograd was awarded the 2012 Russ Manning Most Promising Newcomer Award at the Will Eisner Awards this past summer at San Diego Comic-Con for his work in Petrograd and was also a guest artist on the Oni Press title The Sixth Gun V3. He is currently drawing B.P.R.D. (Dark Horse).

Phillip, writer of Petrograd, lives in Providence, R.I. and has worked in the film industry along with writing the Oni Press titles Labor Days and Dark Horse’s Indiana Jones Adventures V1.

Brahm Revel, former New Yorker, was a storyboard artist for the Cartoon Network™ show Venture Bros. and has since released the Vietnam War-based, M16-wielding, smoking chimpanzees filled graphic novels Guerillas V1 & V2 with Oni Press. You heard us right…smoking chimpanzees!
