Munchkin is a dedicated deck card game by Steve Jackson Games, written by Steve Jackson and illustrated by John Kovalic, that has a humorous take on role-playing games.

In this installment, the players are undead, and they seek brains… Braaaaains… BRAAAAAAIIIIIIIIINNNNS… It’s part of Munchkin Zombie.

Really enjoyed this episode, and the announcements at the end were very cool! Glad to see this podcast taking off …

Tiny problem, since this doesn’t show up in the podcast tab in the top menu every time you guys talked about it in the other podcasts I always assumed it was an upcoming thing.

That delayed the fun of listening to these at least for me, these are great and sound like a ton of fun, I had giving up my cards collection addiction but I think this would get me back off the wagon… In a good way :)

      Great cast again! :D

I was wondering that if your worried about running out of material could you not do theme months. So sept= Zombie Munchkin, on the bi weekly sched you could play 2 games of Zombie Munchkin or Zombie+ a zombie expansion munchkin or Zombie+ an expansion you think would pair well with Zombie. It would stretch the content and would give the potential to explore more of a particular sets mechanics. This week there was very little Mojo cardage going on so revisiting it with the potential of seeing more of those would be fun. And really the entertaining part is how you guys use the cards and interact while playing so even if the luck of the shuffle didn’t bring up more/different cards I don’t think it would be any less enjoyable to listen to.

But really as long as you guys keep bringing em out I will be happeh :)

Great show! I was wondering if you could do an episode around the original munchkin first before all the variations so then we have a better context of the differences.

Keep up the great work. I am looking at starting to play with my magic player friend.

      Hi crew,

I’m re-listening to this podcast years after the first time, because now I actually play Munchkin with my boys, and it’s because of this show! :-) Love the enthusiasm and the roleplaying.

I will say that I’m sorry to disagree with Stephen and I agree with Rob and Rodrigo that the Arm and a Leg only get’s a single +1 bonus from the Atomic Zombie. Although the picture on the card shows two separate things, that is not the mechanically relevant bit. It is specifically a 2-handed ITEM (not items), with a single gold piece value. If you had both the separate Arm and Leg cards, which are each a 1-handed item, then they would each get the +1 bonus. Sorry Stephen.

But I disagree with how the game ended. Rob didn’t actually beat the monster. When he lost his first “Fast” power card, he had to immediately unequip the pogo stick because it was no longer a legal item for him. He was allowed to play another “Fast” power – in that I agree with the ruling, however you cannot equip items in combat! So the pogo stick had to remain out of the bonus calculation. Sorry Rob! Unless you had another +3 or higher bonus you didn’t actually win that one. :-(

Had to get that off my chest. :-)

Looking forward to re-listening to other games like Conan, Star Munchkin and others later.

      Cheers,
      Scott
