SOLICITATION: Bluewater Productions takes Tim McGraw to comics

Press ReleaseBy Press ReleaseAugust 7, 20121 Comment3 Mins Read

    Press Release

One of the most prolific, biggest-selling country-western stars of all time, Tim McGraw has won a legion of fans across the world. He has sold over 40 million records, had 21 consecutive albums hit number one on the Billboard Charts, and even ventured into acting—starring alongside well-known actors such as Sandra Bullock and Reese Witherspoon. Learn how McGraw rose from humble beginnings to win his place as the slickest voice in the West in Bluewater Productions’ FAME: Tim McGraw this September.

The bio-comic was written by David A. McIntee and brought to visual life by artist Jed Mickle.  Cover was painted by William Sleeper.

“It was fun to do,” McIntee said, of working on the comic. “Tim has had a wider career and area of interest than people might think. I loved the chance to do something with a hint of the Western, to gowith the musical genre. I think his fans will enjoy that tone to it.

This is not Bluewater’s first foray into the country music world. The comic book publisher recently released a bio-comic on, not just the most popular female musician in country-western, but perhaps the most popular female singer in the world—Taylor Swift.

“With our biographical comic book series—FAME, Female Force, Political Power, etc.—we have the unique opportunity to showcase a wide range of notable figures,” explained Bluewater Productions’ President Darren G. Davis. “We are getting young people excited to read by releasing comic books featuring the role models that they look up to the most.”

FAME: Taylor Swift sold out fast and FAME: Tim McGraw will likely be a top seller as well.  Print copies of the 40 page comic book will retail for $7.99 and can be found at your local comic book shop or bookstore. To pre-order the book on Amazon please click here:  http://www.amazon.com/FAME-Tim-McGraw-graphic-novel/dp/1467516163

The book will be available in digital format on the Nook, Kindle and ITunes.  A special edition print version will be available at www.comicfleamarket.com

The FAME series has chronicled the lives ofmany other popular stars, such as Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and Demi Lovato.
