Archie Comics will have five unique convention covers that will exclusive to this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego, California. The company sent Major Spoilers a first look at the cover for New Crusaders, Life with Archie, Mega Man, and Sonic Universe.
The groundbreaking wedding issue of Life with Archie #16 sold out earlier this year but will now be available as a convention exclusive with a brand new cover by superstar artist Phil Jimenez. Archie Comics Co-CEO adds, “We have no plans to reprint this issue as a standalone again, so this is a unique opportunity to get a piece of comic book history.”
Fan-favorite video game adaptations Mega Man and Sonic Universe will also receive their own convention exclusives this year featuring sketch variants by Ben Bates and Patrick “SPAZ” Spaziante, respectively.
In addition, New Crusaders fans will have the opportunity to pick up the digital-first series in print for the first time before anybody else with two offerings. The first is a limited edition sketch cover featuring the work of Ben Bates as well as the series premiere edition which includes the first two acts of New Crusaders as well as a cover by Mike Norton.
