Ridley Scott’s Prometheus arrives in theaters on June 6, 2012, and as anticipation for the Alien prequel/not prequel continues to grow, the studio has released a feature, where actress Charlize Theron talks up her character.
Warning: Pregnant women, the elderly, and children under 10 should avoid prolonged exposure to the Robot Overlord. Robot Overlord may suddenly accelerate to dangerous speeds. The Robot Overlord contains a liquid core, which if exposed due to rupture, should not be touched, inhaled, or looked at. If Robot Overlord begins to smoke, get away immediately. Seek shelter and cover head. Do not taunt the Robot Overlord.
I’m really looking forward to this movie, but I do hope they don’t play that wailing “music” throughout the whole thing. And, seriously – I know a “featurette” is supposed to be a short feature, but she said about three sentences in the whole clip. Calling this a featurette is like calling one paragraph written on a single side of a napkin a “novelette”. Something fifteen or twenty minutes long, that’s what I’d consider a featurette. It was interesting to see the raw underpinnings of what appears to be the inside of the alien ship. It’s sort of like seeing the Enterprise set before they painted the plywood.
