    DIGITAL COMICS: IDW Publishing gets on with the Kobo Vox

    Continuing to lead the charge of digital comics, IDW Publishing proudly debuted a collection of graphic novels for the Kobo Vox. IDW’s initial Vox entrée features over twenty complete graphic novels, including award-winning books and works by best selling authors, including Joe Hill, Anne Rice and Peter S. Beagle.

    “We’re excited to bring IDW’s graphic novel line to the Kobo Vox,” stated Jeff Webber, IDW’s director of ePublishing. “With the introduction of the Vox, Kobo is proving to be one of the frontrunners in the next generation of eReader tablet technology.     IDW’s rich catalog of top prose authors and comics creators is especially suited for e-readers. Fans of IDW writers such as Steve Niles, Joe Hill, Anne Rice, Max Brooks, Peter S. Beagle, or James Patterson can now find IDW graphic novels right next to their respective prose stories. Award-winning creators like Darwyn Cooke and his acclaimed adaptations of Richard Stark’s Parker books and the first installment of the BLOOM COUNTY: THE COMPLETE LIBRARY are also included in IDW’s diverse Vox line.

    IDW’s Vox launch offers something for readers of all ages, from classics like Eric Shanower’s OZ series for younger audiences and Joe Hill’s best-selling LOCKE & KEY series for mature readers.

      What is the deal with all the exclusive trade pb deals? And is the Kobo Vox even a player at this point? Honestly, I didn’t even know it survived Borders going under (it was their e-reader of choice).

      Are each of the manufacturers going to square off with a publisher? Is Bluewater going to sign an exclusivity tpb deal with LG?
